Which medical devices companies in Arizona sponsor F-1 CPT visas?
Arizona hosts several medical devices employers with track records of hiring CPT students, including Medtronic, Fresenius Medical Care, Axon, and Microchip Technology, which supplies components to med-tech manufacturers. Smaller contract manufacturers and medical device startups in the Tempe and Scottsdale corridors also take on CPT interns, particularly for engineering and quality assurance functions. CPT authorization comes from your university, not the employer, so any company willing to hire a student can participate.
Which cities in Arizona have the most medical devices F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Tempe and Scottsdale account for a significant share of Arizona's medical devices employment, driven by proximity to Arizona State University and a concentration of life sciences office parks. Tucson is also active, with University of Arizona partnerships supporting CPT placements at local med-tech firms. Chandler and Mesa have manufacturing facilities that periodically hire CPT students for production engineering and quality roles.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship in Arizona?
Roles that directly connect to a student's degree field are eligible for CPT authorization. In Arizona's medical devices sector, that commonly includes mechanical engineering internships, biomedical engineering co-ops, quality and regulatory affairs support positions, manufacturing process engineering roles, and supply chain analyst positions tied to engineering or business programs. The position must be a required or integral part of your curriculum, and your Designated School Official must approve it before you begin work.
How do I find medical devices F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international students and filters medical devices F-1 CPT jobs in Arizona so you are not sorting through roles that do not accommodate CPT work authorization. Because CPT eligibility depends on your school and program, confirm authorization with your DSO before applying. Migrate Mate's listings are screened for employers open to CPT candidates, which saves significant time compared to general job searches.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for F-1 CPT students in the medical devices industry?
Arizona's medical devices sector includes a mix of large manufacturers and early-stage companies, and some smaller employers may be unfamiliar with CPT paperwork requirements. It helps to brief hiring managers that CPT authorization is handled entirely by your university and requires no employer filing with USCIS. Arizona State University and the University of Arizona both have established OPT and CPT advising offices that can provide employer-facing documentation to smooth the process.
