Which consumer goods companies in Colorado sponsor H-1B1 visas?
Colorado-based consumer goods employers with H-1B1 sponsorship activity include Ball Corporation (packaging, headquartered in Westminster), Danone North America (dairy and plant-based foods, with significant operations in Broomfield), and Crocs (footwear, Broomfield). Outdoor and sporting goods brands with Colorado offices, such as those in the Boulder corridor, also periodically sponsor H-1B1 workers for specialty occupation roles in product development and engineering.
Which cities in Colorado have the most consumer goods H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its northern suburbs, particularly Broomfield and Westminster, account for the largest share of consumer goods H-1B1 sponsorship activity in Colorado, driven by corporate headquarters and regional offices. Boulder is notable for food, beverage, and natural products companies. Fort Collins has a smaller but active consumer goods presence tied to its manufacturing and food science sectors.
What types of consumer goods roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship in Colorado?
Roles that commonly qualify as specialty occupations in the consumer goods sector include food scientist, packaging engineer, supply chain analyst, product development engineer, quality assurance engineer, and data scientist. These positions generally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical or scientific field directly related to the job duties. General management or sales roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify.
How do I find consumer goods H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters consumer goods H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Colorado so you can search without sifting through listings that won't support your visa. The platform aggregates roles from employers with documented H-1B1 sponsorship history, making it easier to focus on companies in Denver, Boulder, and the broader Front Range that actively hire on this visa.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific factors that affect H-1B1 sponsorship in Colorado's consumer goods sector?
Colorado does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B1 rules, but the state's competitive talent market in food science and engineering can influence employer willingness to sponsor. The H-1B1 is available only to Chilean and Singaporean nationals, which limits the applicant pool considerably. Colorado's strong natural and organic food industry, centered in Boulder and Broomfield, means employers in that niche are more accustomed to sponsoring specialty occupation workers than in other consumer goods subsectors.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 consumer goods jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
