GENERAL PURPOSE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Intern to join our team. This internship is designed as a learning experience, with a primary focus on gaining exposure to how credit union operations function. This role will support the review of vendor relationships, invoices, and billing processes to identify cost saving opportunities, process improvements, and efficiencies under the guidance of experienced team members.
In this role, the Intern will gain hands on exposure to financial operations, vendor management, and internal workflows, while developing analytical and problem solving skills. Additionally, the Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from multiple departments within the credit union, gaining insight into other areas of financial services such as member service, administrative operations, and community engagement. This role is structured to support professional growth while providing meaningful, real world work experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with reviewing vendor contracts, invoices, and recurring bills to confirm accuracy, consistency, and alignment with agreed upon terms.
- Support operational efficiency efforts by identifying trends, redundancies, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements across vendor and expense categories.
- Compile, organize, and analyze vendor and expense data, and prepare summary reports and comparisons for leadership review.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information related to vendor usage, services, and operational needs.
- Support audit and compliance initiatives by ensuring documentation is accurate, well organized, and aligned with internal policies and procedures.
- Help with organizing and updating marketing materials, communications, and digital assets.
- Participate in special projects by conducting research, performing analysis, and providing recommendations as needed.
- Provide member service support by assisting with member inquiries, account related tasks, and delivering a positive member experience.
- Assist with community impact and marketing efforts by helping coordinate events and related activities.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, file organization, and meeting preparation.
- Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and service standards while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic graphic design and video creation skills (knowledge of tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING
Currently enrolled in high school and pursuing a high school diploma, or a high school diploma has been obtained.
Demonstrated interest in business, finance, accounting, or financial services through coursework, school activities, or personal interests.
Experience
Prior work experience in a professional setting preferred.
