Which aerospace & defense companies sponsor visas in Idaho?
Key sponsors include Micron Technology for semiconductor applications in aerospace systems, various Boeing supplier companies in the Boise area, and specialized defense contractors working on military aviation projects. Many are smaller to mid-size engineering firms that require specialized technical talent for government contracts and aerospace manufacturing.
How to find aerospace & defense visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for aerospace and defense positions in Idaho that offer visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs by both industry and sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify opportunities with companies like Micron Technology and defense contractors in Boise and surrounding areas.
Which visa types are most common for aerospace & defense roles in Idaho?
H-1B visas are most common for engineering positions in avionics, systems design, and manufacturing engineering. O-1 visas may apply for highly specialized defense technology experts. Some positions may qualify for TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals in specific engineering disciplines related to aerospace applications.
Which cities in Idaho have the most aerospace & defense sponsorship jobs?
Boise dominates Idaho's aerospace and defense job market, hosting major employers like Micron Technology and various aerospace suppliers. Meridian and Nampa in the greater Boise area also offer opportunities, while smaller cities like Idaho Falls may have defense-related research positions linked to the Idaho National Laboratory.

What is the prevailing wage for sponsored aerospace & defense jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
