Which e-commerce companies in Indiana sponsor H-1B1 visas?
Indiana's e-commerce employers with a history of H-1B1 and related specialty occupation sponsorship include Amazon's fulfillment and tech operations, Salesforce (with Indianapolis offices), and digital retail divisions within larger corporations like Eli Lilly and Cummins that maintain in-house e-commerce platforms. Smaller Indiana-based online retailers and marketplace platforms also sponsor, though less frequently than large enterprise employers.
Which cities in Indiana have the most e-commerce H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of e-commerce H-1B1 sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, tech hubs, and logistics infrastructure. Fort Wayne and Bloomington have a smaller but growing presence, particularly in software development and digital marketing roles tied to regional e-commerce operations. Most sponsored positions are within the greater Indianapolis metro area.
What types of e-commerce roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship in Indiana?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical or business field. In e-commerce, this includes software engineers, data scientists, UX researchers, digital marketing analysts, supply chain technology specialists, and product managers. Generalist or sales-oriented roles that accept any degree field usually do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B1 eligibility.
How do I find e-commerce H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find e-commerce jobs in Indiana that offer H-1B1 visa sponsorship. The platform filters roles specifically by visa type and industry, so you see only positions where sponsorship is confirmed rather than sifting through listings that don't address it. Filtering by Indiana and the e-commerce category on Migrate Mate narrows results to employers already familiar with H-1B1 requirements.
Are there any Indiana-specific or e-commerce-specific considerations for H-1B1 sponsorship?
The H-1B1 is available only to nationals of Chile and Singapore, so eligibility is nationality-based regardless of where in Indiana the job is located. Indiana has no state-level visa program, so all sponsorship follows federal USCIS and Department of Labor rules. In e-commerce specifically, employers must demonstrate the role is a specialty occupation, which can require documentation for hybrid roles that blend technical and business functions.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 e-commerce jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
