Which staffing companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in Michigan?
Several national staffing firms with Michigan offices have experience placing F-1 CPT students, including Kelly Services, headquartered in Troy, along with Adecco, Randstad, and Aerotek, which operate across Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor. CPT authorization is employer-coordinated through your university's designated school official, so the staffing agency must be willing to provide the offer documentation your DSO requires to certify the placement.
Which cities in Michigan have the most staffing F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Metro Detroit, including Troy, Southfield, and Dearborn, concentrates the largest share of Michigan staffing activity given the region's automotive, manufacturing, and corporate services sectors. Grand Rapids is a secondary hub, particularly for light industrial and healthcare staffing. Lansing and Ann Arbor see CPT placements connected to the state government and university ecosystems. East Lansing placements are common among Michigan State University students seeking local assignments.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Staffing roles that qualify for F-1 CPT must directly relate to your declared major and be approved by your DSO as integral to your academic program. In Michigan's staffing industry, this commonly includes recruiting coordinator, HR analyst, talent acquisition support, operations analyst, and workforce planning assistant roles. General administrative or clerical positions unrelated to your field of study are unlikely to meet CPT authorization requirements regardless of employer willingness.
How do I find staffing F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate lists staffing jobs in Michigan that are open to F-1 CPT candidates, letting you filter specifically by visa type and state rather than manually contacting agencies. Because CPT requires employer documentation tied to your academic program, finding employers already familiar with the process saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces those Michigan staffing opportunities so you can focus on roles where CPT coordination is already part of the hiring conversation.
Are there Michigan-specific considerations for F-1 CPT in the staffing industry?
Michigan's staffing market is heavily influenced by the automotive and manufacturing sectors, which affects the types of CPT placements available. Many staffing agencies here operate under client-site models, meaning you may be placed at a third-party employer's facility rather than the agency's own office. Your DSO must approve the specific work location and role description, so confirm all placement details before accepting an offer to ensure the arrangement satisfies your university's CPT requirements.
