Which finance companies sponsor E-3 visas in North Carolina?
Bank of America and Wells Fargo, both headquartered in Charlotte, are among the most active sponsors of skilled foreign workers in finance. Truist Financial, Ally Financial, and Fidelity Investments also have a significant presence in North Carolina. Insurance and fintech firms in the Raleigh-Durham area, including Lincoln Financial and regional investment managers, have filed Labor Condition Applications for finance roles as well.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most finance E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte is by far the leading city, functioning as one of the largest banking centers in the United States and home to the headquarters of Bank of America and Truist Financial. Raleigh and Durham follow, driven by fintech, insurance, and corporate finance roles tied to the Research Triangle's broader professional services sector. Greensboro and Winston-Salem have smaller but active finance employer bases worth monitoring.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. In finance, roles such as financial analyst, investment analyst, risk analyst, compliance officer, quantitative analyst, and corporate treasury analyst commonly meet this standard. General administrative or sales-oriented finance positions that accept any degree background are less likely to qualify.
How do I find finance E-3 sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find finance roles in North Carolina where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically for E-3 visa holders, saving you from sifting through listings at companies that don't sponsor. Searching by the Banking and Financial Services category and filtering for North Carolina will surface relevant analyst, compliance, and investment roles across Charlotte, Raleigh, and beyond.
Are there any North Carolina-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in finance?
North Carolina has no state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal E-3 rules, but a few practical factors matter. Charlotte's finance market is highly competitive, and many large employers there have established immigration sponsorship programs, which can simplify the Labor Condition Application process. The Research Triangle's finance and fintech roles often sit within tech-adjacent companies whose sponsorship processes may differ from traditional banking institutions, so confirming each employer's sponsorship history before applying is worthwhile.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 finance jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
