As a Welder at EMIT, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects and use your welding skills to contribute to our mission of providing innovative solutions to environmental challenges. $1000 Sign On Bonus
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding process specifications
- Use welding equipment and tools to join or cut metal parts
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and shaping them
- Determine the appropriate welding techniques and methods based on the type of metal and project specifications
- Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of welded joints and make necessary repairs
- Follow safety procedures and regulations while performing welding tasks
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Continuously improve welding skills and techniques through training and practice
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Welding certification (Preferred)
- 3 plus years welding experience
- Must pass EMIT welding test
