Which accounting companies sponsor H-1B1 visas in Arizona?
Arizona's largest H-1B1 accounting sponsors tend to be Big Four firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) with Phoenix-area offices, regional firms like CliftonLarsonAllen and Eide Bailly, and large corporations with in-house accounting departments such as Banner Health, Freeport-McMoRan, and Avnet. Financial services companies and publicly traded firms headquartered in Scottsdale and Tempe also file H-1B1 petitions for qualified accounting professionals.
Which cities in Arizona have the most accounting H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix concentrates the majority of Arizona's accounting H-1B1 sponsorship activity, driven by its dense cluster of corporate headquarters, regional offices, and professional services firms. Scottsdale and Tempe follow closely, particularly for financial services and technology-adjacent accounting roles. Tucson has a smaller but active market, anchored by the University of Arizona's affiliated organizations and regional healthcare and government contractors.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship?
H-1B1 sponsorship in accounting typically covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. Positions commonly approved include staff and senior auditors, tax associates, financial analysts, management accountants, and forensic accountants. General bookkeeping or clerical accounting roles that do not require a specific degree field are unlikely to qualify, as the H-1B1 specialty occupation standard requires a direct relationship between the degree and the job duties.
How do I find accounting H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for H-1B1 job seekers and filters accounting roles in Arizona by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening hundreds of listings. Search for accounting titles like auditor, tax associate, or financial analyst and filter by Arizona to see employers actively open to H-1B1 candidates. Migrate Mate's data is updated regularly, making it a practical starting point for Chilean and Singaporean nationals targeting the Arizona accounting market.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for H-1B1 accounting sponsorship?
Arizona does not have a state income tax on wages as of 2025, which affects overall compensation structures at some employers but has no direct bearing on H-1B1 eligibility. More relevant is Arizona's growing professional services sector, which has increased demand for CPA-track and audit roles. Candidates should note that Arizona CPA licensure requires passing the Uniform CPA Exam and meeting state Board of Accountancy requirements, which are separate from H-1B1 visa requirements and do not substitute for them.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 accounting jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
