Position Overview: We are seeking a responsible, hands-on team player to support the pre-installation, installation, and de-installation of precision semiconductor equipment in cleanroom environments. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-installation, installation, and de-installation of precision equipment in cleanroom environments.
- Execute instructions from supervisors accurately and promptly.
- Deliver tasks/projects on time with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Report and escalate issues, discrepancies, or delays as they occur.
- Be available for additional compensated hours when project schedules require.
- Work at heights and in confined or narrow spaces as needed.
Critical Skills & Knowledge
- Hands-on mechanical skills and experience using mechanical tools. Mechanical Assembly such as an automotive engine installation. Knowledgeable in machine power cable and fibers cable routing.
- Prior experience in mechanical installation, pre-installation, or de-installation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy required.
- Safety-first mindset always.
- Solid tools knowledge required for Mechanical Installer (MI) positions.
Education & Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field.
- Technical Certificates (Certification of Technical Education).
- High School with industry-linked certificate.
- Ex-Military, Trade School AA, or partial Trade School considered.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Requires frequent sitting, walking, talking, hearing, keyboard use, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching.
- Must adhere to gowning requirements for extended periods in cleanroom environments.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work under deadlines in moderate temperature/noise environments.
- May require periodic travel to regional and overseas sites for technical or support projects with minimal notice based on project/client demands.
- Some technical support may involve heavy lifting of equipment or modules in production/lab settings.
Additional Responsibilities (Lead Engineer / Supervisor Level):
- Meet with customers to forecast and finalize work schedules.
- Plan, allocate, and manage tools, equipment, and manpower.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and delegate daily tasks.
- Supervise job task progress and provide training on specialized tasks.
- Ensure compliance with 5S workplace standards.
- Prepare and submit Work-in-Progress Reports.
- Coordinate with vendors on facilities, pre-install, or demolition works.
- Collaborate with Customer Support on travel and lodging arrangements.
- Create, maintain, and sign-off Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely delivery of projects with zero client complaints.
- Strong attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with company policies and instructions from supervisor.
Schedule Availability:
Day Shift - 3 x 12, 4 x 12 (7 am to 7 pm), (8 am to 5 pm)
Night Shift – 7 pm to 7 am, 6 am to 6 pm, 5 pm to 5 am
