Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor H-1B1 visas in Florida?
Florida-based distribution and wholesale employers that have filed H-1B1 or related specialty occupation petitions include World Fuel Services, Sysco, Chewy, and Watsco. Larger multinationals with Florida logistics operations, such as Amazon and Ryder System, have also sponsored specialty occupation visas. Sponsorship activity is most concentrated among companies with dedicated supply chain, procurement, and operations functions that require degree-level expertise.
Which cities in Florida have the most distribution and wholesale H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for distribution and wholesale sponsorship activity, driven by its role as a trade hub connecting the U.S. to Latin America and the Caribbean. Tampa and Orlando follow, with significant warehouse and logistics infrastructure supporting both regional distribution and e-commerce fulfillment. Jacksonville also attracts wholesale and supply chain employers due to its major seaport and transportation networks.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship?
H-1B1 sponsorship in distribution and wholesale is generally limited to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Positions such as supply chain analyst, logistics operations manager, procurement specialist, demand planning analyst, and inventory control engineer tend to qualify. General warehouse, driver, or sales representative roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B1 classification.
How do I find distribution and wholesale H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter jobs by visa type, including H-1B1, by industry, and by state, so you can browse Florida distribution and wholesale roles where employers have demonstrated sponsorship activity. This is more targeted than general job searching because it surfaces employers already familiar with H-1B1 requirements for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, saving significant research time.
Are there any Florida-specific or industry-specific factors that affect H-1B1 sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Florida's heavy trade volume with Latin America means many distribution employers value bilingual candidates and international supply chain experience, which can strengthen applications for specialty roles. Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons. The H-1B1 has an annual cap with separate allocations for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and unlike the H-1B, it does not require an I-129 petition, which can simplify the employer's process slightly.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 distribution & wholesale jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
