Tips for Finding H-1B1 Chile Sponsorship Jobs in Florida
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
The H-1B1 Chile requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a field directly related to your role. Use O*NET to confirm your target occupation's education requirements before approaching Florida employers, so your credentials align with what adjudicators expect.
Target LCA-active employers in Florida metros
Search OFLC disclosure data for Florida employers who have certified LCAs specifically under H-1B1 Chile. Miami's finance sector, Tampa's healthcare networks, and Orlando's technology firms show consistent filing activity worth prioritizing in your outreach.
Find verified H-1B1 Chile sponsors on Migrate Mate
Filter by H-1B1 Chile visa type and Florida location on Migrate Mate to see employers with confirmed LCA filing history. This cuts the research step that trips up most Chilean professionals targeting U.S. sponsorship for the first time.
Ask employers about LCA timing before accepting offers
Your employer must file and receive DOL certification of the LCA before you can apply at the consulate. Confirm the employer has done this process before or has legal counsel ready, because delays at this step push back your entire start date.
Use the OFLC Wage Search to negotiate Florida prevailing wages
Florida prevailing wages vary by metro area and occupation. Run your job title and county through the OFLC Wage Search before salary discussions so you know the DOL-certified floor your employer must meet and can negotiate from an informed position.

Which industries in Florida sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Healthcare, financial services, and information technology account for the largest share of H-1B1 Chile LCA filings in Florida. South Florida's banking and fintech sector, Tampa's hospital systems, and the technology employers clustered around Orlando and Jacksonville all show recurring sponsorship activity across specialty occupation roles.
Which cities in Florida have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads for financial services and international business roles given its ties to Latin American markets, making it a practical target for Chilean professionals. Tampa and Orlando follow with strength in healthcare and technology. Jacksonville has growing demand in logistics and financial operations roles that qualify under specialty occupation standards.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Florida?
Roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field qualify. In Florida, this commonly includes software engineers, financial analysts, registered nurses with advanced credentials, civil and structural engineers supporting construction growth, and management consultants. Generalist roles or positions where any degree field is acceptable typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile jobs in Florida?
Start with Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by H-1B1 Chile visa type and Florida location using verified DOL LCA filing data. Cross-reference with OFLC disclosure records to confirm an employer's sponsorship history. Focus your outreach on Miami, Tampa, and Orlando employers who have filed LCAs in your occupation category within the past two years, as repeat sponsors understand the process and are faster to extend offers.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
