Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor H-1B1 visas in Georgia?
Georgia-based employers with documented H-1B1 sponsorship activity in AI include Google's Atlanta engineering teams, NCR Voyix, Fiserv, and Cox Enterprises, which have all filed Labor Condition Applications for AI and machine learning roles. Defense contractors such as Leidos and SAIC also operate AI divisions in the state and have sponsored H-1B1 workers for specialty occupation positions.
Which cities in Georgia have the most artificial intelligence H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the large majority of AI H-1B1 sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, fintech firms, and university research partnerships with Georgia Tech. Alpharetta and Peachtree City have smaller but active technology employer clusters. Most remote-eligible AI roles sponsored through Georgia entities are still tied administratively to Atlanta-area offices.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B1 purposes include machine learning engineer, data scientist, computer vision engineer, NLP researcher, and AI research scientist. Each requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as computer science, statistics, or electrical engineering. Generalist titles like 'AI analyst' may face more scrutiny if the degree requirement is not clearly established in the job description.
How do I find artificial intelligence H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate aggregates H-1B1-eligible AI job listings from Georgia employers, letting you filter specifically by visa type and state so you are not sorting through roles that do not support H-1B1 sponsorship. Because H-1B1 is a Chile and Singapore national-specific category, general job boards rarely flag it accurately. Searching Migrate Mate for artificial intelligence positions in Georgia gives you a targeted, sponsorship-verified starting point.
Are there any Georgia-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 sponsorship in AI?
Georgia's AI hiring is heavily weighted toward applied rather than foundational research, meaning employers typically expect production-ready engineering skills alongside theoretical knowledge. The state has no specific licensing requirements that affect H-1B1 eligibility for AI roles. However, some defense and government-adjacent AI employers in Georgia require security clearances, which H-1B1 holders may not be able to obtain, so reviewing clearance requirements before applying is important.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 artificial intelligence jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
