Which food & beverage companies sponsor H-1B1 visas in Georgia?
Georgia is home to several large food and beverage companies with documented H-1B1 sponsorship activity. Coca-Cola's global headquarters in Atlanta, Inspire Brands, and Chick-fil-A are among the larger employers with specialty occupation hiring. Food manufacturers and contract processors operating in the Metro Atlanta and Savannah areas also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as H-1B1 petitioners, particularly for technical and quality-focused roles.
Which cities in Georgia have the most food & beverage H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the largest share of food and beverage H-1B1 sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by the concentration of corporate headquarters and regional offices. Savannah has grown significantly as a food manufacturing and distribution hub, supported by its port infrastructure. Augusta and Columbus also have food processing operations, though sponsorship activity in those markets is less frequent than in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
What types of food & beverage roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship?
H-1B1 sponsorship in food and beverage is generally limited to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles that commonly meet this threshold include food scientists, quality assurance engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, supply chain analysts, and product development technologists. General production, warehouse, or management roles that do not require a specific degree field typically do not qualify under the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find food & beverage H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the United States, including H-1B1 roles. You can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface food and beverage positions in Georgia where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Because H-1B1 is available only to Chilean and Singaporean nationals, filtering by that visa type on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to employers already familiar with the category.
Are there any Georgia-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 sponsorship in food & beverage?
Georgia does not impose state-level visa requirements, but the food and beverage industry presents some specific considerations. Roles at manufacturing facilities may involve site-specific licensing or food safety certifications that employers factor into hiring timelines. Georgia's status as a major agricultural and processing state means some positions are tied to seasonal production cycles, which can affect when sponsorship-eligible openings are posted and how quickly petitions are filed.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 food & beverage jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
