Job Overview

The Securities & Derivative Analyst is an entry level position responsible for processing and reconciliation roles for using the knowledge of banking and Securities to manage tasks across different departments. Handling many types of works, such as being the contact for internal and external checks, collecting data for customer asset segregation, reconciling bank accounts, and paying fees. At the same time, the team help improve processes and workflows to make things more efficient in their area. It needs to understand how different parts of the business work together and how it helps achieve overall company goals.

Because this role involves working with many teams, strong communication and diplomacy skills are needed to sort, prioritize, and check changing information.

It also needs to understand relevant laws and company policies to identify potential risks and create new guidelines or suggestions.

証券・銀行の知識を活用し、複数のオペレーションの部署に係る業務の処理と銀行口座等の照合を担当、及び支払に関する業務を行う部署となります。

主な業務には以下が含まれます。

• 社内外の監査等の確認事項に対応する窓口業務
• 顧客資産の分別管理のためのデータ収集と集計
• 銀行口座の照合（レコンサイル）
• 手数料の支払い処理
• 各種問い合わせの窓口

この職務は多くのチームと連携するため、変化する情報を整理し、優先順位をつけ、確認するためのコミュニケーション能力と協調性が不可欠です。

また、関連する法令や社内ポリシーを理解し、潜在的なリスクを特定し、新たなガイドラインや提案を作成する能力も求められます。

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee control and monitoring activities. Make sure these activities are independent from payment and settlement teams. Be the main contact for internal and external inspections and audits.
• Ensure careful monitoring and accurate recording of customer asset separation, following Japanese regulations. This includes collecting data, keeping records, calculating, reconciling, and posting to ledgers.
• Manage Nostro reconciliation processes from one central point. This includes creating ways to manually combine data from local systems that don't connect to the main reconciliation system. Be the main contact for teams handling money reconciliation.
• Handle payments to outside vendors based on invoices approved by the securities department.
• Create, develop, and put in place strong internal rules and guidelines within Markets Operations. This is to reduce risks and make sure we strictly follow local regulations.
• Be responsible for supporting business teams in their assigned operational areas.
• Contribute significantly to projects that change procedures and provide solutions.
• Responsible for reporting any control gaps or problems to senior management.
• Find control weaknesses and put in place suitable steps and solutions to reduce any risks or losses.
• Influence decisions made by others by giving advice, guidance, or services in their area of expertise.
• Be the first point of contact for staff, managers, and internal (front office) or external clients when issues need to be raised.
• Persuade and influence others through good teamwork and communication skills; may also negotiate with outside parties.
• Understand and apply Citi’s core principles and values in daily work.
• When making business decisions, always consider the company's reputation. Ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, follow policies, and use good ethical judgment in behavior and business practices. Clearly report and manage any control issues to protect Citigroup, its clients, and its assets.

支払・決済チームから独立してコントロール業務をモニターします。また社内外の検査および監査における主要な連絡窓口となります。

• 日本の法令等に準拠し、顧客資産の分別管理を細心の注意を払いプロセスを遂行します。具体的にはデータ収集、記録保持、計算、照合、および元帳への記帳を行います。

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience preferred in financial field
• Fundamental understanding of Financial products, accounting and regulatory policies preferable
• Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in an environment
• PC skill (Excel, macros preferred).
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Possession of Securities Sales Representative Qualification (証券外務員資格) preferred.
• Possession of Bookkeeping Level 3 (簿記３級）certification preferred.
• Native Japanese language skill and basic English communication skill is required

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• 学士号または同等の経験
