Which staffing companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in New York?
Large national staffing firms with New York offices, including Adecco, Randstad, Robert Half, and ManpowerGroup, have historically placed or employed F-1 students through CPT arrangements. Boutique recruiting agencies focused on finance, tech, and professional services in Manhattan also participate. CPT eligibility depends on your university's authorization and whether the role qualifies as integral to your degree program, not solely on the employer's willingness.
Which cities in New York have the most staffing F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly Midtown and Lower Manhattan, concentrates the highest volume of staffing and recruiting roles suitable for F-1 CPT students, given the density of corporate headquarters and financial services clients. White Plains and Melville on Long Island serve as secondary hubs where regional staffing firms support suburban enterprise clients. Albany occasionally has openings tied to government and healthcare staffing.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Roles in talent acquisition coordination, HR analytics, workforce planning, and sourcing research tend to align well with business, human resources, or data analytics degree programs commonly approved for CPT. Client-facing recruiting roles and labor market research positions may also qualify depending on your school's curriculum requirements. Your Designated School Official must confirm the role directly relates to your field of study before CPT is authorized.
How do I find staffing F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international students and filters job listings by visa type, including F-1 CPT, and by industry, so you can browse staffing and recruiting roles in New York without sifting through positions that don't support your visa status. Because New York's staffing market moves quickly, checking Migrate Mate regularly and setting up alerts for staffing roles in New York gives you an edge over candidates applying after postings go cold.
Are there New York-specific considerations for F-1 CPT in the staffing industry?
New York State's strong labor regulations and the staffing industry's heavy use of contract and temp arrangements mean CPT students should confirm with their DSO whether a temporary or project-based placement still satisfies the full-time CPT definition their school requires. New York City's Local Law 144, which governs automated employment decision tools, may also be relevant context for students in HR tech or talent analytics roles within staffing firms.
