About the Team
Our sales and success teams are the heart and soul of DoorDash, helping us partner with top merchants (think restaurants, grocers, convenience stores, retailers) across the country to grow their revenue and help them operate even better. As DoorDash grows both in scale and scope of offering, the strength of our sales engine and organizational structure must grow with it.
We are looking for an Associate Manager level in Sales Strategy and Operations to 1. Develop strategic plans in retaining and growing partnerships at scale, 2. Leverage data tools (e.g. SQL) to help enhance sales productivity in targeting and closing the most valuable partnerships. You'll work among our sales, partner management, operations, product, and analytics teams to build the merchant foundation.
About the Role
Within this job posting, we're hiring for roles on the following team(s):
Long-Tail:
- We are looking for a Sales Strategy Associate Manager to build and execute the Long-Tail Emerging Bets strategy for our Global Sales Vendor organization. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Sales S&O, Finance, and more!) to retain and grow Merchants at scale. You will report into the Manager of Revenue Strategy and Operations in our Merchant organization.
You're excited about this role because you'll…
- Contribute to post-sales strategy for our top company priorities. This team sits at the nexus of both scaled initiatives and innovative bets at DoorDash focused on catapulting our restaurant partners' growth. This role will help to develop a strategic vision for SMB Emerging Bets sales strategy, aligning it with DoorDash's overarching business goals.
- Drive operational excellence in reporting cadences, rigorous pipeline tracking, and sales productivity – leading end-to-end ideation to execution through data-driven insights.
- Partner with our cross-functional teams to expand and elevate our offering. To retain, optimize, and grow SMBs, this role will partner closely with internal DoorDash stakeholders to guide the top priorities for the US Marketplace and ensure our GTM approach across products and initiatives is effective and efficient for sales teams.
- Look around corners for the team. Whether planning for the next quarter, for the next year with new products, or for several years down with new organizations, this role will be an owner in shepherding the sales function into the future.
We're excited about you because…
- You have 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, banking, analytics or related experience with a track record of leading initiatives and hitting goals.
- You have strong cross functional business experience, project management, and communication skills.
- You are comfortable working with large data sets + modeling in Excel / Google Sheets, advanced proficiency in SQL, and well-versed in data visualization tools (e.g. Sigma, Tableau) to help solve ambiguous problems.
- You are willing to roll up their sleeves and flex up or down as needed - "humble doer".
- You have a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Which e-commerce companies sponsor H-1B1 visas in New York?
Large e-commerce employers with New York offices, including Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, and Squarespace, have filed H-1B1 Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. Beyond these names, New York hosts a dense cluster of direct-to-consumer brands, marketplace platforms, and retail tech companies that have established sponsorship track records. Reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify a specific employer's filing history.
Which cities in New York have the most e-commerce H-1B1 sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the overwhelming majority of e-commerce H-1B1 sponsorship positions in the state, with Midtown Manhattan, the Flatiron District, and DUMBO in Brooklyn serving as primary tech and commerce hubs. Outside the city, Buffalo and Albany have smaller but emerging tech employer bases, though e-commerce-specific H-1B1 filings outside New York City remain comparatively limited.
What types of e-commerce roles typically qualify for H-1B1 sponsorship?
H-1B1 sponsorship in e-commerce is generally available for specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Positions commonly meeting this standard include software engineers, data scientists, product managers, UX researchers, and digital marketing analysts with technical qualifications. Generalist roles or positions where no specific degree is required rarely satisfy the specialty occupation definition under H-1B1 criteria.
How do I find e-commerce H-1B1 sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface New York e-commerce employers with verified H-1B1 sponsorship history. Because H-1B1 sponsorship willingness isn't always stated in job postings, using a platform that cross-references Department of Labor LCA filings saves significant time. Migrate Mate's filters let you narrow results to roles matching your background in e-commerce functions across New York City and the broader state.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for H-1B1 sponsorship in e-commerce?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B1 Labor Condition Application reflect the state's high cost of living, meaning employers must certify wages at levels benchmarked to New York City metropolitan area rates for most e-commerce roles. New York also enforces state labor protections that interact with LCA posting requirements. E-commerce employers operating primarily as remote-first companies may have additional LCA obligations if the worksite is formally designated within New York State.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 e-commerce jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
