Which agriculture companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in Oregon?
Oregon employers known for hiring international students in agriculture-adjacent roles include Tillamook County Creamery Association, Willamette Valley Vineyards, and agricultural technology firms clustered around Corvallis and Salem. Oregon State University's agricultural extension and research divisions also regularly host CPT students. CPT authorization depends on your school's cooperative education program requirements, not solely the employer's willingness to hire.
Which cities in Oregon have the most agriculture F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Corvallis leads due to Oregon State University's strong agricultural sciences program and its ties to regional agribusiness. Salem and the broader Willamette Valley follow, driven by viticulture, horticulture, and food processing industries. Medford and the Rogue Valley attract food science and orchard management roles. Portland also hosts agricultural supply chain, sustainability, and agri-tech companies that actively work with CPT students.
What types of agriculture roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Roles that directly apply your academic coursework qualify for CPT. In agriculture, this includes agronomy research assistants, food science technicians, agricultural data analysts, viticulture interns, supply chain coordinators, and environmental compliance roles at farms or processing facilities. The position must align with your degree program. General seasonal farm labor positions typically do not meet CPT's curricular connection requirement.
How do I find agriculture F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate lists agriculture F-1 CPT jobs in Oregon filtered specifically for international students, so you can identify employers already familiar with CPT work authorization. Search by Oregon location and the Agriculture and Farming category to surface relevant roles in food science, agronomy, and agricultural research. Confirm each opportunity with your Designated School Official before accepting to ensure the role meets your program's CPT requirements.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for F-1 CPT in Oregon agriculture?
Oregon's agriculture sector operates under state environmental and labor regulations that can affect internship structure, particularly for roles involving pesticide handling or food safety compliance. Some Oregon agricultural employers, especially smaller family farms or vineyards, may be unfamiliar with CPT paperwork. Larger employers affiliated with Oregon State University's cooperative education network tend to have more established processes for onboarding CPT students.
