Which fashion and apparel companies sponsor TN visas in Oregon?
Oregon's most prominent fashion and apparel TN sponsors include Nike (headquartered in Beaverton), Columbia Sportswear, and Adidas North America, whose U.S. headquarters is also in Portland. Smaller activewear and outdoor brands such as Danner and Keen Footwear are also based in the Portland metro area. Sponsorship patterns vary by role and business need, so it's worth researching each employer's hiring history directly.
Which cities in Oregon have the most fashion and apparel TN sponsorship jobs?
Portland and its surrounding metro area, including Beaverton, account for the overwhelming majority of fashion and apparel TN sponsorship jobs in Oregon. Nike's Beaverton campus alone employs thousands in design, engineering, and merchandising functions. Outside the Portland metro, opportunities are limited, as Oregon's apparel industry is heavily concentrated in the greater Portland region.
What types of fashion and apparel roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility requires the position to fall within a designated occupation category listed in the USMCA agreement. In fashion and apparel, roles that commonly align with TN categories include fashion designers (under the 'Fashion Designer' category for Canadians and Mexicans), graphic designers, industrial engineers involved in manufacturing processes, and certain scientific or computer-related roles supporting product development. Roles in sales, general management, or production coordination typically do not qualify without a clearly matching USMCA occupation.
How do I find fashion and apparel TN sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for this search. You can filter by TN visa type, the fashion and apparel industry, and Oregon as your target state to see currently listed roles from employers open to TN sponsorship. This removes the guesswork of identifying which Oregon-based brands are actively hiring internationally, saving significant time compared to searching general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there any Oregon-specific or industry-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in fashion and apparel?
Oregon has no state-level visa sponsorship requirements, so TN eligibility is governed entirely by federal USMCA rules. However, Oregon's fashion industry is heavily activewear and outdoor-focused, meaning roles often blend design with technical or engineering functions. For TN purposes, how the employer classifies and documents the role matters more than the job title itself. Canadian citizens can apply at the port of entry, while Mexican citizens must go through consular processing, which affects hiring timelines.
