ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll be doing:
As a Brand Experience Manager at Cabot, you will be pivotal in creating a best-in-class customer experience that fosters consumer love and loyalty while aligning with the broader company objectives. You will be responsible for effectively communicating the Cabot brand story, managing the Waterbury retail location, and supervising a team to ensure exceptional customer service and community engagement. Additionally, you will oversee vendor and distributor management, new product acquisition, and product mix management, with a focus on Vermont specialty foods, B Corp products, and farmer-owner products. Your role will also involve planning and executing in-store experiences, including food and beverage demos, to provide immersive and engaging customer interactions. The role requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs and be comfortable standing during the shift and the ability to climb stairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day retail operations, ensuring a welcoming and engaging store environment
- Lead, coach, and develop retail staff to provide outstanding customer service
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and daily team performance
- Maintain strong product knowledge and promote Cabot products and brand story
- Ensure merchandising, displays, and inventory levels are well maintained
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed goals
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with Cabot policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Partner with leadership on promotions, events, and seasonal initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience required
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Experience with merchandising, inventory management, and sales tracking
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, scheduling, reporting)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a retail environment with varying activity levels
