Which finance companies sponsor TN visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin has several established financial employers with a track record of sponsoring work visas, including Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, Associated Bank, and Johnson Financial Group. Insurance carriers in Appleton and Green Bay, such as Secura Insurance, also hire internationally for actuarial and financial analysis roles. TN sponsorship ultimately depends on the specific role, the employer's hiring policies, and whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under TN criteria.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most finance TN sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary finance employment center, home to major banking, insurance, and fintech employers. Madison follows closely, driven by state government finance roles, university-affiliated research, and a growing tech-finance sector. Appleton and Green Bay are notable for insurance industry hiring, particularly in actuarial and underwriting functions. Smaller markets like Waukesha and Brookfield also host regional bank headquarters and wealth management firms.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Wisconsin?
TN visa eligibility in finance generally covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Positions that commonly qualify include financial analyst, accountant, auditor, economist, and actuary. Roles like investment analyst and management consultant may also qualify depending on job duties and degree alignment. Generalist business roles or positions that accept any bachelor's degree, regardless of field, face a higher risk of not meeting TN specialty occupation standards.
How do I find finance TN sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa sponsorship, select Finance as your industry, and target Wisconsin to see roles from employers already open to TN candidates. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies that may not sponsor. Migrate Mate also surfaces roles by city, so you can focus on Milwaukee or Madison based on where you want to live and work.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for TN visa sponsorship in finance?
Wisconsin's finance sector is heavily weighted toward insurance and regional banking, which means many openings are with mid-size employers rather than large multinationals. Smaller firms sometimes have less experience with TN sponsorship, so it helps to confirm early in the hiring process that the employer is familiar with the TN category. Wisconsin has no state income tax on Social Security income but does impose standard state income tax on wages, which is relevant for Canadian nationals comparing cross-border compensation.
