Tips for Finding TN Sponsorship Jobs in Wisconsin
Target Wisconsin's healthcare systems first
Large hospital networks like Froedtert Health, UW Health, and Advocate Aurora Health regularly hire TN-eligible roles in nursing, pharmacy, and medical technology. These employers have established immigration processes and sponsor TN visas with regularity.
Look beyond Milwaukee to mid-size markets
Madison, Green Bay, and Appleton have strong employer bases in manufacturing, engineering, and healthcare. Smaller markets often have less competition for open roles, and TN-eligible candidates can stand out more easily than in larger national job pools.
Match your occupation to the TN list precisely
The TN visa requires your job title and duties to align with a named USMCA occupation category. Wisconsin employers in engineering and sciences are familiar with this, but confirm your specific role maps cleanly before applying to avoid delays at the border.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for TN-sponsoring employers
Rather than sorting through every Wisconsin job posting manually, Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for TN visa sponsorship. This saves significant time and surfaces employers who have already demonstrated willingness to hire TN workers.
Prioritize Wisconsin's research universities and institutions
UW-Madison and Marquette University consistently hire scientists, engineers, and computer specialists on TN status. Research-focused institutions are accustomed to working with international professionals and often have dedicated HR support for visa documentation.
Verify your employer can provide the required documentation
For TN status, your employer must supply a detailed offer letter specifying job duties, required qualifications, and employment period. Confirm Wisconsin employers understand this requirement early in the hiring process to avoid last-minute complications at entry.

Which industries in Wisconsin sponsor the most TN visas?
Healthcare, engineering, and scientific research account for the majority of TN visa sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Large hospital systems, manufacturing firms, and research institutions at universities like UW-Madison are the most consistent sponsors. Information technology and management consulting roles also appear frequently, particularly in the Milwaukee and Madison metro areas.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most TN sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's largest employer hub and has the highest concentration of TN-sponsoring companies, particularly in healthcare, finance, and professional services. Madison follows closely, driven by state government contractors, the UW System, and a growing tech sector. Green Bay, Appleton, and Waukesha also have active TN hiring, primarily in manufacturing and healthcare.
What types of roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that qualify for TN sponsorship must fall within the USMCA's defined occupation list. In Wisconsin, this commonly includes engineers across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines, registered nurses, pharmacists, computer systems analysts, scientists in chemistry and biology, and accountants. The role must require at least a bachelor's degree or recognized professional credentials in the relevant field.
How do I find TN sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter Wisconsin job listings by TN visa sponsorship so you're only seeing employers willing to hire TN workers. Beyond that, targeting Wisconsin's major healthcare networks and engineering firms directly, and checking career pages at UW-system institutions, can surface roles that are a strong fit for TN-eligible candidates.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for TN sponsorship?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa requirements, so TN sponsorship follows standard federal USMCA rules. One practical consideration is that many Wisconsin employers outside Milwaukee and Madison have less experience with TN documentation. Confirming early that your prospective employer's HR team understands the required offer letter format and border or consular process can prevent delays in starting your role.
