Which manufacturing companies in Wisconsin sponsor TN visas?
Wisconsin is home to several large manufacturers with established international hiring programs. Oshkosh Corporation, Kohler Co., Johnson Controls, Rockwell Automation, and Briggs and Stratton have all sponsored foreign national workers in engineering and technical roles. Smaller precision manufacturers and food processing companies in the Fox Valley and Milwaukee metro areas also sponsor TN workers, though less consistently than larger firms.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most manufacturing TN sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the largest hub, with a concentration of industrial manufacturers, automation companies, and engineering employers. The Fox Cities corridor, including Appleton, Oshkosh, and Neenah, has strong paper, plastics, and industrial equipment manufacturing. Green Bay supports food processing and packaging manufacturing. Racine and Kenosha, near the Illinois border, also have significant manufacturing employment tied to the broader Chicago industrial region.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Wisconsin?
TN visas apply to specific professional categories, so the role must match a qualifying occupation. In manufacturing, industrial engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, metallurgical engineers, and computer systems analysts are commonly sponsored. Quality assurance managers with engineering credentials and manufacturing process engineers also frequently qualify. General production supervisors or plant floor roles without a professional degree requirement typically do not meet TN eligibility criteria.
How do I find manufacturing TN sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible candidates and filters manufacturing jobs in Wisconsin by visa type, so you see roles where employers have indicated TN sponsorship willingness. Rather than sorting through general job postings where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces positions relevant to Canadian and Mexican professionals. Filtering by Wisconsin and manufacturing on the platform gives you a focused, relevant set of opportunities.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in manufacturing?
Wisconsin's manufacturing workforce is heavily unionized in some sectors, particularly in automotive and heavy equipment, which can affect how employers structure professional versus production roles. Engineers and technical professionals in these environments are typically salaried and exempt, which aligns better with TN eligibility. Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa or work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, so TN holders work under the same rules as in any other state.
