- Architect complete cooling systems for diesel engines, generators, motors, inverters, batteries, hydraulics, laser, computer, and auxiliary systems operating in rugged, dusty, high-load environments.
- Perform thermal load analysis, pressure drop calculations, flow distribution studies, and heat rejection tradeoffs across multiple operating modes and duty cycles.
- Design and review coolant routing, hose and hard-line layouts, fittings, and sealing strategies for reliability in agricultural environments.
- Use CAD and analytical tools to support thermal, structural, and vibration simulation of thermal system components and mounting systems.
- Lead thermal validation testing including thermal soak, heat rejection testing, fouling evaluation and field data correlation.
- Support prototype builds, field trials, and production issues, diagnosing and resolving thermal performance gaps.
- Act as a Responsible Engineer or thermal subsystem owner, working with suppliers to define requirements and validate solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience designing and validating thermal management systems for automotive, off-highway, agricultural, or heavy equipment applications.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and Ansys CFD or equivalent tools for thermal analysis.
- Deep experience with radiators, oil coolers, charge-air coolers, chillers, pumps, fans, coolant circuits, refrigerant selection rationale and thermal interface materials.
- Experience integrating thermal hardware into vehicles, including packaging, mounting, serviceability, and durability considerations.
- Knowledge of automotive/agricultural durability requirements and validation testing procedures highly desired.
- Familiarity with supplier-provided thermal data, test reports, and performance maps, with the ability to challenge and validate assumptions.
- Highly desired to have past experience as a Responsible Engineer or IPT lead.
- Willingness to travel ~10% of the time to support products in the production & field environments with a demonstrated ability to work directly with internal and external stakeholders/customers.

Which manufacturing companies sponsor TN visas in Washington?
Washington's largest manufacturing employers with documented TN visa sponsorship activity include Boeing in Everett and Renton, Paccar in Bellevue, Weyerhaeuser in Federal Way, and a range of food processing and semiconductor equipment manufacturers in the Yakima Valley and greater Seattle area. Smaller precision manufacturing and aerospace supply chain firms also regularly sponsor TN workers in engineering and technical roles.
Which cities in Washington have the most manufacturing TN sponsorship jobs?
The Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area concentrates the highest volume of manufacturing TN sponsorship roles, driven largely by aerospace and industrial equipment employers. Everett is particularly active given Boeing's major production facilities there. Spokane supports manufacturing activity in food processing and industrial machinery, while the Tri-Cities area near Richland has growing demand in advanced manufacturing and engineering roles.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in manufacturing requires the position to fall within a USMCA-approved professional category. Roles that commonly qualify include industrial engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, metallurgical engineers, chemists, and scientific technologists. Quality assurance engineers and manufacturing process engineers frequently qualify when the role requires a relevant bachelor's degree. General production supervisor or line operator positions typically do not meet the professional occupation standard.
How do I find manufacturing TN sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible professionals and filters job listings by visa type, state, and industry. Searching the Manufacturing category filtered to Washington on Migrate Mate surfaces roles where employers have indicated TN sponsorship willingness, saving significant time compared to screening general job postings. Focusing your search on engineering and technical titles improves results, since those are the manufacturing roles most likely to qualify under USMCA professional categories.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in manufacturing?
Washington's manufacturing sector is heavily export-oriented, which means many employers are familiar with international hiring and cross-border work arrangements, making TN sponsorship less unfamiliar to HR teams than in some other states. Washington has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons. Employers in aerospace supply chain roles may require security clearance eligibility, which can affect TN holders depending on the specific requirements of the role.
