Search Healthcare Jobs in WisconsinHealthcare TN Sponsorship Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which healthcare companies sponsor TN visas in Wisconsin?
The largest TN visa sponsors in Wisconsin healthcare tend to be major health systems with established international hiring infrastructure. UW Health (Madison), Froedtert Health (Milwaukee), Advocate Aurora Health (Milwaukee and surrounding areas), and SSM Health Wisconsin have all hired professionals in TN-eligible roles. Academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Wisconsin and Medical College of Wisconsin also regularly hire Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying positions.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most healthcare TN sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of healthcare TN sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin, driven by their concentration of large hospital systems, academic medical centers, and specialty clinics. Green Bay, Appleton, and Racine have smaller but active healthcare markets, particularly for nursing, therapy, and diagnostic roles. Rural areas may have openings, but sponsoring employers are far more concentrated in the southeastern and south-central corridors of the state.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
The TN visa covers a specific list of healthcare occupations for Canadian and Mexican nationals. Qualifying roles include nurses (registered nurses with a baccalaureate degree), physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, dentists, physicians, dietitians, and medical laboratory technologists. The role must match the TN occupation category precisely, and the applicant must hold the required degree and, where applicable, a valid state license or have met Wisconsin licensure requirements before entry.
How do I find healthcare TN sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible professionals searching for visa-sponsored roles in the U.S. You can filter by state (Wisconsin), visa type (TN), and industry (healthcare) to see current openings at employers already familiar with TN sponsorship. This removes the guesswork of identifying which Wisconsin healthcare employers will support a TN petition, which is often the most time-consuming part of the search.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for TN healthcare sponsorship?
Wisconsin requires healthcare professionals to hold an active state license or certification before beginning work, which affects TN timing. For example, registered nurses must obtain a Wisconsin nursing license (or a multistate compact license, since Wisconsin participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact) before the TN petition is filed. Pharmacists and physical therapists face similar requirements. Coordinating licensure paperwork alongside employer sponsorship documentation is a common logistical challenge specific to healthcare TN cases in this state.
