We're looking for a passionate Registered Dietitian II/ Dietitian I to join our positive, supportive, dietitian team at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Ketchikan AK. If you're committed to improving patient outcomes and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we'd love to meet you!
PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietitian II - Inpatient Nutrition Therapy for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for the Dietitian II role at PeaceHealth is $38.64 – $57.94. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
Essential Functions
- Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process including nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient specific goals, monitoring, evaluation, and follow up of outcomes.
- Using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines, will provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
- Provides consult services to other healthcare providers and participates in the interdisciplinary team.
- Documents in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
- When appropriate, makes referrals to other services, agencies and community resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Master's Degree Required: in a related field of study.
- Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 when a bachelor's degree was sufficient will be grandfathered.
- Minimum of 3 years in a related setting as a Registered Dietitian.
- Current Medicare provider status number may be required.
- Registered Dietitian or registration eligible (must pass the Registration Exam 180 days).
- National Dietitian Certifications - Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, or Board-Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition, Renal Nutrition, Pediatric Nutrition, Sports Dietetics, Gerontological Nutrition, or Nutrition Wound Care, as applicable to work performed is required.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian in the state of Alaska.
