Which healthcare companies sponsor TN visas in New Mexico?
Presbyterian Healthcare Services, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Lovelace Health System, and Presbyterian Medical Group are among the larger New Mexico employers with documented TN visa sponsorship activity in healthcare. Rural health systems and federally qualified health centers across the state also hire TN workers, particularly for nursing and therapy roles where local shortages are most acute.
Which cities in New Mexico have the most healthcare TN sponsorship jobs?
Albuquerque accounts for the largest share of healthcare TN sponsorship activity in New Mexico, given its concentration of hospital systems, specialty clinics, and the UNM Health Sciences campus. Santa Fe and Las Cruces each have a meaningful number of openings through regional medical centers and multispecialty groups. Smaller communities like Roswell and Farmington also post TN-eligible roles, particularly in nursing and physical therapy.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in New Mexico?
Roles that qualify for TN status must appear on the USMCA-designated occupation list and require at least a bachelor's degree or applicable licensure. In healthcare, qualifying occupations commonly include registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical laboratory technologists, pharmacists, dietitians, and physicians. Certified nursing assistants and medical assistants generally do not qualify because the TN category requires a professional-level degree in a directly related field.
How do I find healthcare TN sponsorship jobs in New Mexico?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and state, so you can search for TN-sponsored healthcare roles in New Mexico without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers with active TN filing history in healthcare occupations, letting you focus on organizations that have already navigated the process. From there, you can review the role requirements and confirm your occupation qualifies under the USMCA professional list before applying.
Are there any state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in New Mexico healthcare?
New Mexico requires state licensure for most regulated healthcare professions, and that license must typically be in hand or verified before TN status is granted at the border or port of entry. Nurses educated outside the U.S. or Canada may need credentials evaluated through an approved body before the New Mexico Board of Nursing will issue a license. Some rural and underserved areas in the state participate in federal workforce programs that can expand eligible practice settings for TN professionals.
