Align Your Licensure Before Applying
Amneal operates across multiple states, so confirm your pharmacist licensure is valid in the state where the role is based. NABP's licensure transfer process can take weeks, and unresolved licensure gaps will stall any sponsorship conversation before it starts.
Target Roles in Manufacturing and Regulatory Affairs
Amneal's core business is generics and specialty pharmaceuticals manufacturing. Pharmacist openings tied to quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or drug development tend to have clearer specialty occupation documentation, which strengthens an H-1B petition compared to retail-adjacent roles.
Understand the H-1B Cap Timing for Pharmacists
H-1B registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer from Amneal outside that window, ask HR whether they'll file cap-exempt or whether you'll need to wait for the next lottery cycle before your start date.
Ask HR About Immigrant Visa Sponsorship Early
Amneal has filed both EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for Pharmacists. During the offer negotiation stage, ask directly whether the role includes a pathway to permanent residency, since PERM labor certification timelines vary significantly depending on your nationality and priority date.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Pharmacist Openings
Amneal posts Pharmacist roles across multiple sites, and not all listings make sponsorship eligibility clear upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Amneal Pharmaceuticals positions verified for visa sponsorship, so you're not chasing roles that won't support your situation.
Prepare Your Foreign Credential Evaluation in Advance
If you earned your pharmacy degree outside the United States, have a NACES-approved evaluation completed before you reach the offer stage. Amneal's HR team will need documentation confirming degree equivalency as part of the H-1B specialty occupation filing with USCIS.

Find Pharmacist at Amneal Pharmaceuticals JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Amneal Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas for Pharmacists?
Yes, Amneal Pharmaceuticals has sponsored H-1B visas for Pharmacist roles. Pharmacist positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B requirements because they require at least a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Sponsorship is generally initiated after an offer is extended, and the employer handles the H-1B petition filing with USCIS on your behalf.
Which visa types are commonly used for Pharmacist roles at Amneal Pharmaceuticals?
Amneal has sponsored both nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for Pharmacist roles. The H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant pathway, allowing you to work in the U.S. for an initial three-year period with extensions. For permanent residency, Amneal has filed under EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which typically involve PERM labor certification through the DOL before the petition is filed with USCIS.
How do I apply for Pharmacist jobs at Amneal Pharmaceuticals?
You can browse and apply for Pharmacist openings at Amneal Pharmaceuticals through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship has been confirmed. Amneal also posts positions directly on its careers page. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulatory experience, since those backgrounds align most closely with Amneal's core operations.
What qualifications does Amneal Pharmaceuticals expect for sponsored Pharmacist roles?
At minimum, you'll need a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an active pharmacist license in the relevant state. Roles tied to manufacturing, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs at Amneal often expect familiarity with FDA compliance, cGMP standards, or drug development processes. Relevant industry experience in generics or specialty pharmaceuticals is a practical advantage over candidates with only retail pharmacy backgrounds.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Pharmacist position at Amneal?
Timeline depends on which visa is being filed. For H-1B, USCIS standard processing takes three to five months after the petition is filed on April 1, meaning most sponsored hires start October 1 or later. PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship typically takes one to two years before an immigrant petition can even be filed, so early conversations with HR about long-term sponsorship plans are practical.
