INTRODUCTION
Founded in 1977 as the Senior Care Action Network, SCAN began with a simple but radical idea: that older adults deserve to stay healthy and independent. That belief was championed by a group of community activists we still honor today as the “12 Angry Seniors.” Their mission continues to guide everything we do.
Today, SCAN is a nonprofit health organization serving more than 500,000 people across Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington, with over $8 billion in annual revenue. With nearly five decades of experience, we have built a distinctive, values-driven platform dedicated to improving care for older adults.
Our work spans Medicare Advantage, fully integrated care models, primary care, care for the most medically and socially complex populations, and next-generation care delivery models. Across all of this, we are united by a shared commitment: combining compassion with discipline, innovation with stewardship, and growth with integrity.
At SCAN, we believe scale should strengthen—not dilute—our mission. We are building the future of care for older adults, grounded in purpose, accountability, and respect for the people and communities we serve.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Value Based Care
Match your credentials to TN categories
Value Based Care spans multiple TN-eligible occupations. A health economist qualifies under the economist category; a care transformation consultant may qualify under management consultant. Confirm your degree and job duties align with the specific TN category before applying.
Search TN-sponsored Value Based Care roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by TN visa eligibility and Value Based Care job titles on Migrate Mate to surface employers who have already navigated sponsorship for this specialty, cutting down time spent on employers who won't move forward.
Prepare a detailed support letter before the offer stage
TN approval often hinges on the employer's support letter, not just your degree. Confirm your future employer will document how your specific duties, not just your job title, map to the qualifying TN occupational category before you sign an offer.
Request premium processing for employer-filed TN petitions
When your employer files a Form I-129 TN petition with USCIS rather than using the Canadian border entry method, request premium processing to get a decision within 15 business days, protecting your agreed start date.

Find Value Based Care JobsValue Based Care TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Which TN visa category covers Value Based Care jobs?
Value Based Care roles fall under different TN categories depending on your duties. Health economists and outcomes researchers qualify under the economist category. Care transformation consultants typically qualify under management consultant. Clinical data analysts may qualify under scientific technician. Your specific job duties and degree field, not just your title, determine which category applies, so confirm the match with your employer before filing.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Value Based Care professionals?
The TN visa has no lottery and no annual cap for Canadians, meaning you can start work as soon as your documentation is approved, often on the same day at a port of entry. H-1B requires winning a randomized lottery with roughly one-in-four odds. For Value Based Care roles that qualify under a TN category, TN is a faster and more predictable path than waiting for H-1B selection.
Can Canadian professionals get TN approval at the border for Value Based Care roles?
Yes. Canadian citizens can present their employer's support letter, educational credentials, and job offer at a U.S. port of entry or preclearance location and receive TN status on the spot without a prior USCIS filing. The CBP officer reviews your documentation and determines if the role qualifies. Bringing a detailed employer letter that maps your specific duties to the TN occupational category significantly reduces the risk of a secondary review.
Where can I find Value Based Care employers who sponsor TN visas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. jobs with TN visa sponsorship. You can filter by role type and visa status to find Value Based Care positions at employers already familiar with TN requirements, which avoids wasting time with recruiters at organizations that don't sponsor or don't know the TN process.
What documents does a Value Based Care employer need to sponsor my TN visa?
Your employer needs to provide a detailed support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, qualifying TN category, your duties, your degree field, your anticipated start date, and your compensation terms. You supply your original degree credential and any professional licenses relevant to the role. For Mexican citizens, the employer also files Form I-129 with USCIS, and you attend a consular interview to receive your TN stamp.
