About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Summer Intern to support project onboarding for renewable energy projects. This role will focus on reviewing, organizing and uploading project documentation such as engineering drawings, technical reports, manufacturer equipment specifications. The main project will be to create a digital twin of the projects for use in enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with onboarding projects into RNWBL enterprise management systems
- Populate internal folders with required project specific documentation
- Review engineering drawings and field inspection reports to create digital twins of Utility Scale Power Plants
- Gather asset information and update project database as required
- Collaborate with team members to understand document usage and organizational requirements
- Support documentation of operational processes and workflows
- Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives
- Create user guides and documentation to support long-term adoption and sustainability
And all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Curiosity about renewable energy, sustainability, and/or power systems
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of power generation fundamentals (can identify key components of a PV, Wind, and BESS system from a single-line drawing)
- Ability to read and understand construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.)
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, VBA, and Database Systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects
Additional Requirements:
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
- Able to work overtime and travel as needed for work or training.
- Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
