The Machine Operator plays a key role in our jewelry manufacturing process by operating and maintaining both manual and automated machinery. This position ensures consistent quality and productivity across multiple areas of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various types of manual and automatic equipment used in jewelry manufacturing
- Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor and maintain accountability for work-in-progress (WIP) materials
- Cross-train in multiple departments to support shifting production needs
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safety-first work environment
- Offer feedback to improve operational efficiency and workflow
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
- Proficient in basic math
- Ability to use measuring tools accurately
- Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or jewelry production environment
- Training or certification in machinery operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and procedures
- Experience with inventory tracking or job accountability systems
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This role requires standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production materials.
