This position reports to:
Supervisor (Production)
Supports the facility in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Uses machinery and equipment on the shop floor. Reads and interprets the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Safety
- Understands and follows plant safety and procedures.
- Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conducts self in a safe manner.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.
- Participates in plant safety objectives.
Job Functions
- Conducts all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
- Performs work manually or by using light hand tools.
- Performs regular quality testing as a part of a defined production process.
- Operations within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma/GED is required
- Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred
- Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
- Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
- Can work a weekend schedule as needed.
Skills and/or Training
- Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand various written instructions in English
- Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
- Lift up to 40 Pounds
- Stand for long periods
- Good hand dexterity
- Strong math skills
