Align your resume to construction tech QA
Prime Controls operates in construction and real estate, so frame your automation experience around enterprise systems, project management software, or IoT-adjacent platforms. Generic QA resumes get filtered out before sponsorship conversations even start.
Confirm TN eligibility before applying
Canadian and Mexican nationals can pursue TN status for QA Automation Engineer roles if the position qualifies under the engineer or computer systems analyst category. Verify the job description maps to a recognized TN occupation before submitting your application.
Start OPT applications at least three months early
USCIS recommends filing your OPT EAD application up to 90 days before your program end date. If you're targeting a Prime Controls start date, work backward from that timeline to avoid gaps between graduation and your first day.
Ask directly about H-1B cap timing
H-1B cap registrations open in March for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing with Prime Controls outside that window, clarify whether they'll file in the next available cycle or whether a cap-exempt path applies to your situation.
Browse open QA roles on Migrate Mate
Prime Controls posts QA Automation Engineer openings that include visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track these listings so you're applying to confirmed sponsoring roles, not guessing at which postings will support your visa category.
Review the DOL Labor Condition Application before accepting
Before signing an H-1B offer, request visibility into the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL. It confirms your prevailing wage classification and worksite details, both of which affect your long-term status at Prime Controls.

Does Prime Controls sponsor H-1B visas for QA Automation Engineers?
Yes, Prime Controls sponsors H-1B visas for QA Automation Engineer roles. H-1B sponsorship requires your position to qualify as a specialty occupation, which QA Automation Engineering typically satisfies given its degree requirements in computer science or engineering. Your employer files the petition with USCIS, and cap-subject cases follow the annual lottery cycle with an October 1 start date.
Which visa types are commonly used for QA Automation Engineer roles at Prime Controls?
Prime Controls supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for QA Automation Engineers. F-1 OPT is the most common entry point for recent graduates, with STEM OPT extensions providing up to three years of work authorization. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles qualify under a recognized professional category. H-1B is the primary long-term path.
What qualifications are expected for QA Automation Engineer roles at Prime Controls?
Prime Controls typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments is commonly expected. Construction or real estate software experience is a differentiator, though not always required for entry-level positions.
How do I apply for QA Automation Engineer jobs at Prime Controls?
You can find and apply for QA Automation Engineer positions at Prime Controls through Migrate Mate, which aggregates visa-sponsoring employers and lets you filter by visa type and role. This makes it straightforward to confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying, saving time compared to applying through general job boards where sponsorship details are often unclear.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a QA Automation Engineer at Prime Controls?
Timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT EAD processing through USCIS takes roughly three to five months, so apply early relative to your start date. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the port of entry on the day of travel. H-1B sponsorship follows a structured annual cycle, with USCIS registration in March and employment beginning October 1 at the earliest for cap-subject cases.
