Tailor Your Resume to Control Systems
Prime Controls focuses on building automation and electrical control systems, not general construction wiring. Highlight experience with PLCs, SCADA, low-voltage systems, or panel design. Generic electrical engineering resumes get filtered out before sponsorship conversations even start.
Verify Your Degree Meets Specialty Occupation Requirements
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning your degree field must directly align with the position. For control systems engineering, a degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline is typically required, not just any STEM field.
Target Open Roles with Active Project Pipelines
Prime Controls operates across active construction and real estate projects, so hiring needs fluctuate with project timelines. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Electrical Engineer roles at Prime Controls and identify which positions are actively recruiting versus evergreen postings.
Ask About LCA Filing Timelines During Offer Negotiation
The employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. This step takes at least seven business days. Raise the timeline early in the offer stage so the process doesn't stall after you've accepted.
Leverage TN Status If You Hold Canadian or Mexican Citizenship
Electrical Engineer is a qualifying occupation under the TN visa category for Canadian and Mexican citizens. TN status bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can be renewed indefinitely, making it a faster path to starting work at Prime Controls for eligible candidates.

Does Prime Controls sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers?
Yes, Prime Controls sponsors H-1B visas for Electrical Engineer roles. The company operates in construction and real estate, where control systems and automation engineering roles consistently meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria. If you're applying, confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role during your initial recruiter screen, as not every open position may be eligible.
Which visa types does Prime Controls commonly sponsor for Electrical Engineer roles?
Prime Controls sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Electrical Engineer positions. F-1 CPT and OPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while H-1B covers longer-term employment. Canadian and Mexican citizens can pursue TN status, which is faster than H-1B and avoids the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Electrical Engineer jobs at Prime Controls?
Browse open Electrical Engineer positions at Prime Controls through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. When applying, emphasize relevant experience in electrical control systems, building automation, or low-voltage design. Prime Controls operates across active construction projects, so tailoring your application to their project-based work environment strengthens your candidacy.
What qualifications does Prime Controls expect for Electrical Engineer roles?
Most Electrical Engineer roles at Prime Controls center on control systems, automation, and electrical panel design within construction and real estate projects. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a directly related field is the standard baseline. Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, or building automation systems strengthens your profile significantly beyond the degree requirement alone.
How do I plan my timeline if Prime Controls is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a lottery held in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT and miss the lottery, the cap-gap rule can extend your work authorization while a subsequent petition is pending. Coordinate with Prime Controls' HR team well before your OPT expiration to ensure the petition is filed on time.
