Get your electrical credentials verified early
U.S. construction employers like Prime Controls expect state licensure or journeyman certification. Research which state license applies to the project location before applying, since requirements differ and the verification process takes time.
Understand how TN status works for Electricians
TN visas cover specific professional categories, and Electrician roles may not fit the standard list. Confirm the job title and duties align with a qualifying TN category before pursuing that route with Prime Controls' HR team.
Confirm H-1B specialty occupation standing upfront
USCIS requires Electrician roles to meet specialty occupation criteria for H-1B approval. Ask Prime Controls directly whether the posted role requires a bachelor's degree and how they've structured previous H-1B filings for this function.
Align your OPT timeline with their project start dates
Construction projects run on fixed schedules, and Prime Controls needs Electricians available when a project mobilizes. Map your OPT expiration date against realistic H-1B cap-subject filing windows so you can show hiring managers there's no gap.

Find Electrician at Prime Controls JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Prime Controls sponsor H-1B visas for Electricians?
Yes, Prime Controls has sponsored H-1B visas for Electrician roles. Because H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines, the specific duties and degree requirements of the role matter. Roles that involve complex electrical systems design or project engineering are more likely to meet that threshold than general installation work. Confirm the classification with their HR team before applying.
How do I apply for Electrician jobs at Prime Controls?
Start by browsing current Electrician openings through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Prime Controls listings verified for visa sponsorship. Once you identify a relevant role, apply directly through Prime Controls' careers portal. Tailor your resume to reflect U.S. construction project experience, relevant certifications, and any state electrical licensure you hold, since those credentials carry significant weight in their hiring process.
Which visa types does Prime Controls support for Electrician roles?
Prime Controls has sponsored H-1B visas and has supported candidates on F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for Electrician positions. TN status is also listed as a supported visa type, though applicants should verify that their specific role and duties align with an eligible TN professional category before pursuing that path. Eligibility depends on the job description, not just the visa type.
What qualifications does Prime Controls expect from Electrician candidates?
Prime Controls operates in construction and real estate, so they expect hands-on electrical experience in commercial or industrial project environments. A journeyman electrician certification or state license is typically required, and some roles may call for a relevant degree in electrical engineering or a related field, particularly for H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. Project management exposure is an advantage for senior-level openings.
How do I time my application given H-1B filing deadlines?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS registration opening in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, plan to have an offer from Prime Controls finalized by February at the latest to give the company time to register you. F-1 STEM OPT extensions provide a 24-month buffer that can cover one or two additional lottery cycles if needed.
