Certify Your Electrical Credentials Before Applying
Prime Controls operates on construction sites where licensure and certifications like NFPA 70E or OSHA 10 carry real weight. Get your documents verified and translated before outreach so credentialing questions don't stall an offer.
Target Prime Controls Openings by Project Type
Prime Controls staffs Control Electrician roles on building automation and industrial controls projects. Filter your search by those project types so you're applying to roles that match your hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, or building management systems.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Prime Controls Listings
Prime Controls posts Control Electrician openings across multiple U.S. regions, and availability shifts with project timelines. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Prime Controls roles that are open to your visa type so you're not applying blind.
Clarify Your TN or OPT Status Early in Interviews
TN visas for electricians require the role to meet a specific professional classification under USMCA. If you're Canadian or Mexican, confirm with the hiring manager that your Control Electrician duties align with eligible TN categories before reaching the offer stage.
Time Your H-1B Filing Around USCIS Cap Deadlines
H-1B cap registrations open in March for an October 1 start date. If Prime Controls extends an offer in Q1, ask HR immediately whether they plan to register you in that year's lottery so you're not waiting through an unnecessary cycle.
Confirm I-9 and E-Verify Completion Before Your Start Date
Construction employers like Prime Controls are subject to strict E-Verify requirements on many government-adjacent project sites. Make sure your work authorization documents are current and your I-9 is completed on or before day one to avoid holds on your start.

Find Control Electrician at Prime Controls JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Prime Controls sponsor H-1B visas for Control Electricians?
Yes, Prime Controls has sponsored H-1B visas for Control Electrician roles. The H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. For Control Electricians, this often means demonstrating that the role involves complex systems integration, building automation, or industrial controls work rather than general electrical labor.
Which visa types are commonly used for Control Electrician roles at Prime Controls?
Prime Controls sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Control Electrician positions. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates in electrical or controls engineering. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA professional categories. H-1B sponsorship is the long-term path for candidates outside those groups.
How do I apply for Control Electrician jobs at Prime Controls?
Browse active Control Electrician openings at Prime Controls through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight experience with PLCs, building automation systems, or SCADA, since those are the technical skills most relevant to Prime Controls project work. Follow up with the recruiter to confirm their current sponsorship timeline for your visa category.
What qualifications does Prime Controls expect for Control Electrician roles?
Prime Controls typically looks for hands-on experience with industrial controls, building automation, or low-voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with platforms like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Honeywell is frequently relevant given their construction and real estate project scope. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10 or NFPA 70E strengthen your application, and candidates with an electrical engineering or related degree are better positioned for H-1B sponsorship.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Control Electrician role at Prime Controls?
Timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS takes up to 90 days after your program end date, so apply early. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the border on the same day. H-1B sponsorship follows the USCIS cap cycle, with a March registration window and an October 1 start date, meaning you may need to plan up to six months ahead from offer to authorization.
