Job Roles at Subaru of America Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Subaru of America Visa Sponsorship USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
Subaru of America's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines. Focus your applications on roles in automotive engineering, software systems, and product development, where international candidates with specialized skills are most competitive for visa sponsorship.
Apply early in Subaru's hiring cycle
Automotive companies typically align hiring with product and fiscal cycles. Applying in Q4 or early Q1 positions you ahead of headcount approvals, giving your sponsorship case more runway before H-1B cap season deadlines in March.
Emphasize specialized, hard-to-fill skills
Subaru's U.S. operations rely on skills not always available domestically, particularly in advanced driver-assistance systems, EV technology, and quality engineering. Framing your expertise around these gaps strengthens the business case for sponsorship.
Use verified sponsorship data when job searching
Not every automotive job listing is open to international candidates. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on Subaru roles where sponsorship is a genuine possibility.
Prepare for a multi-step internal approval process
At established automotive companies like Subaru, visa sponsorship requires sign-off from HR, legal, and finance teams. Raise your visa status early in conversations with recruiters to avoid late-stage delays after an offer is extended.

Does Subaru of America sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Subaru of America sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of H-1B sponsorship, primarily for technical and engineering roles. If you're targeting Subaru, focus on positions that require specialized qualifications, since those are the roles most likely to receive sponsorship approval through the H-1B program.
Which visa types does Subaru of America sponsor?
Subaru of America sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas. H-1B is the primary pathway for long-term employment. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional roles. F-1 OPT and CPT make Subaru accessible to international students early in their careers, and J-1 covers exchange and training programs.
Which departments or roles at Subaru of America are most likely to sponsor visas?
Sponsorship at Subaru of America is concentrated in technical and engineering functions, including automotive engineering, software development, quality assurance, and product planning. Corporate functions in finance, supply chain, and marketing may also sponsor visas, though the strongest signal is in roles requiring specialized degrees and skills that are difficult to source domestically.
How do I find open sponsored jobs at Subaru of America?
The most reliable approach is to search for Subaru of America on Migrate Mate, which aggregates roles from verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter by visa type and company. This saves time compared to manually checking job boards where sponsorship eligibility is rarely disclosed upfront. Look for roles aligned with your visa status and degree field for the strongest fit.
How do I approach the application process at Subaru of America as an international candidate?
Disclose your visa status early, ideally in your cover letter or initial recruiter screen. Subaru's HR team will need to coordinate with legal counsel to assess sponsorship feasibility before extending an offer. If you're on F-1 OPT, highlight your remaining work authorization window. For H-1B candidates, be aware of the March registration deadline and plan your application timeline accordingly.
