ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Growth Program Manager to collaborate with internal teams to lead our effort of execution and growing our Consumer Loan Program. This role is a strategic partner that sits at the powerful intersection of product, operations, and client services. You will translate the vision into actionable growth roadmaps, overseeing interrelated projects that collectively achieve broad organizational objectives. Your primary focus is to build and scale a "growth engine" through partnering with strategic relationships that have been created and are still being nurtured.
- Growth Governance: In collaboration with the team to identify opportunities and how those fit into our existing client relationships. Own and identify the cross sell and up sell program that aligns with overall growth strategies.
- Strategic Growth Roadmap: Define and manage comprehensive program plans, schedules, and milestones that adhere to long-term growth targets.
- Full-Funnel Model: Develop and execute strategies across the entire customer journey, from acquisition and activation to retention.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central bridge between development, product, client services and marketing/business development teams to ensure visibility and alignment to growth pipeline.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate program status, risks, and high-impact outcomes to senior leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 8+ years in project or program management, with a proven track record of scaling digital products or user bases.
Expertise: Deep proficiency in project management frameworks, with the ability to lead hybrid programs that blend different delivery models.
Detail Oriented: Ability to track and interpret complex client needs with a solution oriented and collaborative mindset.
Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence (EI) for partnering with distributed, diverse teams and navigating organizational change.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Program ROI: Demonstrable business value realized through growth initiatives.
- Funnel Conversion Rates: Measure the throughput of cross and up sell strategies and conversion to growth and/or implementation.
- Efficiency Ratios: Successful delivery of projects within set budgets and timelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Nelnet believes in a hybrid work environment that accommodates both in-office and remote work. This model promotes a positive work-life balance and culture, enabling in-person collaboration when possible while also providing benefits associated with remote work. The standard hybrid work schedule includes 24 hours of in-office work each week, for associates that reside within 30 miles of an office. This is subject to change, based on manager discretion.
