Which companies sponsor visas for software architects in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems, Fidelity Investments, Oracle, and Dell Technologies have all filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for senior software roles in New Hampshire. Defense contractors along the Nashua-Manchester corridor are particularly active at the architect level, given the concentration of systems integration and embedded software work in the region. Sponsorship activity is most consistent at mid-to-large enterprises rather than early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for software architect roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for software architects in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category. Senior or internationally recognized architects may also explore the O-1A for extraordinary ability.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most software architect sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of software architect sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua hosts several defense and technology firms with established immigration programs, while Manchester has a growing commercial tech presence. Concord sees occasional openings tied to state government IT contractors. Remote-friendly roles headquartered in New Hampshire may also appear, though visa sponsorship typically requires a physical work location for LCA compliance purposes.
How to find software architect visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to find software architect roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can filter by state and role to surface active openings at companies that have an established track record of H-1B filings for architect-level positions in the region.
Are there any state-specific considerations for software architects seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which affects the prevailing wage analysis employers must complete for the Labor Condition Application, since cost-of-living and compensation benchmarks differ from neighboring Massachusetts. Many sponsoring employers in the state are defense contractors requiring security clearance eligibility, which can complicate or limit sponsorship for some nationalities. University of New Hampshire produces software engineering graduates that some local employers recruit internationally at the architect pipeline level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software architect jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
