Which companies sponsor visas for service supervisors in Puerto Rico?
Large hospitality groups like Marriott and Hilton, healthcare systems such as Hospital Auxilio Mutuo and Menonita Health System, and facilities management contractors supporting federal infrastructure projects have sponsored service supervisor roles in Puerto Rico. Multinational manufacturers with operations in the Guaynabo and Barceloneta corridors also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data with supervisory-level sponsorships.
Which visa types are most common for service supervisor roles in Puerto Rico?
The H-1B is the most common employer-sponsored visa, but service supervisor roles must qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field, which not all supervisory positions meet. Where the role involves technical systems, engineering, or healthcare operations, qualification is more straightforward. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories.
Which cities in Puerto Rico have the most service supervisor sponsorship jobs?
San Juan concentrates the highest volume of service supervisor opportunities, driven by its hotel corridor along Condado and Isla Verde, major medical centers, and federal agency offices. Ponce has growing demand tied to manufacturing and utilities, while Mayaguez attracts supervisory roles connected to pharmaceutical and industrial facilities. Guaynabo and Bayamon are active in facilities and logistics management.
How to find service supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Puerto Rico?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search service supervisor roles in Puerto Rico without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces roles from employers with a documented history of sponsoring international workers, which is particularly useful in Puerto Rico where sponsorship-ready postings are less concentrated than in mainland metro areas.
Are there any Puerto Rico-specific considerations for service supervisor sponsorship?
Puerto Rico follows federal prevailing wage rules under the Department of Labor's H-1B framework, so employers must meet wage levels tied to the San Juan metropolitan area or specific local classifications. The island's economy leans heavily on hospitality, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare, meaning service supervisor roles in those sectors see more sponsorship activity. Employers familiar with Puerto Rico's labor market tend to have established immigration counsel, which can streamline the petition process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service supervisor jobs in Puerto Rico?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
