INTRODUCTION
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern.
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is for a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering who will complete a specified project centered around the development of a new, or improvement of an existing, process at the East Providence plant. This role is designed to give a student real experience in a manufacturing facility with ownership of a tangible project that will have significant impact to the site.
The work will require a basic working knowledge of engineering principles and problem-solving methods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design, analyze and improve processes for the manufacturing of dynamic seals.
- Develop tests, setup procedures, and troubleshooting methods for verification of new processes.
- Work with team members across all functions to gather data, information, and direction as needed.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers in various process improvement projects.
- Work with customers, suppliers, project managers and other engineering disciplines to optimize designs and identify cost trade-offs.
- Create a presentation on work completed throughout the internship, and present to Site Leadership Team.
