Build and operationalize structured feedback loops between customer-facing teams (Sales, Success, Merchant Operations) and Product. Translate market, customer, and competitive insights into actionable product and business recommendations. Ensure that insights from merchants, partners, and consumers inform future product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
Partner Cross-Functionally to Drive Impact
Collaborate with Product and Data teams to synthesize insights from customer data, market trends, and usage analytics to inform strategic decisions. Partner with Communications, Brand, and Investor Relations to ensure consistent messaging across audiences and moments.

Frame your portfolio around regulated products
Affirm operates under consumer lending regulations, so PMM candidates who can show go-to-market work for financial products, credit tools, or compliance-sensitive launches stand out. Document how you shaped messaging within regulatory constraints.
Verify your OPT STEM extension eligibility early
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm whether your degree qualifies for the 24-month STEM extension before applying. Affirm's fintech classification means most PMM roles sit under qualifying SOC codes, but verify your specific degree field with your DSO before accepting an offer.
Target roles tied to core lending products
Affirm's highest-volume hiring for senior marketing roles concentrates around its merchant partnerships and consumer lending lines. Applying to openings explicitly tied to these product areas increases your chances of landing a team that regularly works through the H-1B process.
Get your specialty occupation documentation ready
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires proof the role demands a specific bachelor's degree field. Product Marketing Director at a fintech typically qualifies, but have your degree certificates, transcripts, and a clear explanation of how your field directly maps to the role's responsibilities prepared before the offer stage.
Raise sponsorship directly during recruiter screens
Affirm's recruiting process moves quickly through phone screens to case-style interviews. Ask the recruiter explicitly about visa sponsorship in the first conversation so you're not navigating this after a verbal offer, when timelines are tighter and immigration counsel is already engaged.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles efficiently
Affirm posts Product Marketing Director openings across multiple channels, and timing matters for visa-dependent candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter Affirm's current openings by sponsorship eligibility so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed, not assumed.

Find Product Marketing Director at Affirm JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Affirm sponsor H-1B visas for Product Marketing Directors?
Yes, Affirm sponsors H-1B visas for Product Marketing Directors. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards because it requires a specific degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Affirm has sponsored this function consistently, and the company works with immigration counsel to manage the H-1B petition process on the candidate's behalf once an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Affirm commonly sponsor for Product Marketing Directors?
Affirm sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for this role, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for early-career candidates still in or recently graduated from U.S. degree programs. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Affirm supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which typically require a PERM labor certification filed through the DOL. TN visa sponsorship is also available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying categories.
What qualifications and experience does Affirm expect for Product Marketing Directors?
Affirm typically looks for candidates with substantial experience in product marketing within financial services, fintech, or a closely adjacent industry. You'll need demonstrated ownership of go-to-market strategy, strong cross-functional collaboration with product and sales teams, and ideally exposure to regulated products or credit-adjacent messaging. A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications is standard, and an MBA is common at the director level.
How do I apply for Product Marketing Director jobs at Affirm?
You can apply directly through Affirm's careers page or use Migrate Mate to browse current Product Marketing Director openings at Affirm filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. The hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, a take-home case or presentation, and several rounds of cross-functional interviews. Raising your sponsorship needs in the first recruiter conversation saves time and ensures the role is a viable fit before you invest in the full interview process.
How does the H-1B timeline affect my start date at Affirm?
If you need a new H-1B and aren't transferring an existing one, the standard cap-subject H-1B has an October 1 start date tied to the annual lottery, which USCIS runs in March. If you're already on H-1B status with another employer, Affirm can file an H-1B transfer and you can start once USCIS issues a receipt notice. Premium processing, which USCIS currently adjudicates within 15 business days, is an option if you need faster confirmation.
