Job Roles at Trimble
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Trimble Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and software roles
Trimble's Green Card sponsorships are concentrated in technical disciplines like software engineering, geospatial technology, and manufacturing systems. Applying to roles in these departments gives you the strongest shot at permanent residency support.
Confirm sponsorship intent early in the process
Ask directly during your recruiter screen whether the role is eligible for Green Card sponsorship. Trimble's hiring teams are experienced with immigration processes, and raising it early avoids misunderstandings later in the offer stage.
Understand the PERM timeline before you accept
Green Card sponsorship at a manufacturing technology company like Trimble typically starts with PERM labor certification, which can take a year or more before the I-140 petition is filed. Factor this into your visa status planning.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history. Checking Trimble's profile there helps you identify which job categories have historically led to Green Card filings before you apply.
Build tenure before expecting sponsorship
Trimble, like most manufacturing technology employers, typically initiates Green Card processes for employees who have demonstrated performance and long-term fit. Entering on an H-1B or other nonimmigrant status first is the most common path.
Align your degree and role description carefully
PERM labor certification requires a precise match between your qualifications and the job's minimum requirements. Work with Trimble's immigration team to ensure your degree field and experience align with the role description on file.

Does Trimble sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Trimble sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company has an established immigration program and files permanent residency petitions for skilled professionals in technical and engineering roles. Sponsorship is typically offered to employees already working at Trimble on a nonimmigrant visa who have demonstrated strong performance and long-term fit.
Which roles and departments at Trimble are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Trimble is most common in software engineering, hardware engineering, geospatial technology, and manufacturing systems roles. Research and development positions and specialized technical roles tied to Trimble's core product lines also see consistent sponsorship activity. Generalist or administrative roles are less frequently sponsored for permanent residency.
How does the Green Card application process work at Trimble?
Trimble typically follows the standard employment-based Green Card process: PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS, and finally adjustment of status or consular processing. Trimble works with outside immigration counsel to manage each stage, and employees are generally guided through the process once sponsorship is confirmed.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Trimble?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and the Green Card category your role qualifies under. For most applicants born outside India and China, the process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can take two to four years. For applicants from India, priority date backlogs can extend the wait significantly. Trimble typically initiates the process once an employee has established tenure.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Trimble?
Search Trimble's careers page directly and filter for technical and engineering roles, which are the most likely candidates for Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate is also a useful resource, as it tracks verified sponsorship histories by employer so you can identify which Trimble roles have historically been sponsored for permanent residency before submitting your application.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Trimble?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
