Job Roles at PACCAR Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in PACCAR Visa Sponsorship USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
PACCAR's sponsorship activity concentrates heavily in engineering disciplines. Roles in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering across its truck and powertrain divisions are where international candidates have the strongest chance of securing a sponsored position.
Understand PACCAR's multi-brand structure
PACCAR operates through Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF, plus its parts and financial services divisions. Each operates with some hiring autonomy, so targeting a specific brand or division that matches your background can sharpen your application considerably.
Apply early in the calendar year for H-1B consideration
If you need H-1B sponsorship, timing matters. USCIS opens H-1B registration in March, so starting your PACCAR job search in January or February gives you the best window to secure an offer before the filing deadline.
Highlight manufacturing-relevant technical credentials
PACCAR values candidates with hands-on manufacturing knowledge. Degrees or experience in vehicle dynamics, embedded systems, supply chain engineering, or materials science align well with their product development needs and strengthen your sponsorship case.
Check for F-1 OPT opportunities as an entry point
PACCAR sponsors F-1 OPT candidates, making it accessible for recent graduates. Landing an OPT role is a proven path to a longer-term sponsored position. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find open roles at PACCAR.
Factor in PACCAR's Green Card track record when evaluating offers
PACCAR has a strong track record of supporting employees through Green Card processes, including EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. When evaluating an offer, ask directly about the company's typical timeline and internal process for initiating permanent residence sponsorship.

Does PACCAR sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, PACCAR sponsors H-1B visas and has done so consistently across multiple hiring cycles. Sponsorship is most common in engineering and technical roles tied to vehicle design, powertrain development, and manufacturing systems. If you're targeting an H-1B, focus your application on roles with a clear degree requirement in a specific technical field, which aligns with USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
Which visa types does PACCAR sponsor?
PACCAR sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and supports Green Card petitions through both EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. This breadth makes it accessible to international candidates at multiple career stages, from students on OPT to experienced engineers seeking permanent residence in the United States.
Which departments or roles at PACCAR are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Engineering departments account for the majority of PACCAR's sponsored hires. Mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, embedded software developers, and manufacturing engineers are among the most commonly sponsored roles. Research and development teams within the Kenworth and Peterbilt divisions also show consistent sponsorship activity, particularly for candidates with advanced degrees in relevant technical disciplines.
How do I find visa-sponsored job openings at PACCAR?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find sponsored roles at PACCAR. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate verifies sponsorship history directly from government disclosure data, so you can browse PACCAR openings with confidence that sponsorship is genuinely available. Filter by visa type to match your current status and find roles that fit your eligibility.
How do I approach the PACCAR application process as an international candidate?
Lead with your technical qualifications rather than your visa situation. PACCAR's recruiters are experienced with international hires, so sponsorship is unlikely to be a dealbreaker for strong candidates. Be prepared to discuss your degree field, how it connects directly to the role, and your work authorization timeline. For H-1B candidates, aligning your offer timeline with the annual registration window is critical.
