Kenwood Country Club offers its members not only a rotating seasonal menu, but many different food offerings from Sushi, to Steak, Wood Fried Pizza to Upscale Wine Dinners and everything in between.
Work environment:
This Club offers a team environment in large professional kitchen.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What will be expected of you:
- Order Coordination: Organize incoming tickets, "fire" orders to kitchen stations at the right time, and ensure all items for a table are finished simultaneously.
- Quality Control: Inspect every dish for presentation, accuracy (including special requests/allergies), and proper temperature before it leaves the kitchen.
- Final Touches: Garnish plates, wipe rims, and complete the plating process according to chef specifications.
- Communication Hub: Relay information, such as item shortages or modified tickets, between servers and chefs.
- Table Delivery: Signal servers when orders are ready to be picked up and ensure prompt service.
- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized pass area, following all health department regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication: Excellent verbal skills to shout orders and communicate clearly in a loud, fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking: Ability to track dozens of orders at once and prioritize tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for food presentation and accuracy.
- Leadership: Ability to lead the kitchen flow, even under high pressure.
- Experience: Requires at least 1 year of experience in a restaurant kitchen, with food handling.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of standing/walking for long shifts and, at times, lifting heavy trays.
