Align Your Credentials to FDA-Regulated Roles
Nova Biomedical operates in a regulated medical device environment, so USCIS will scrutinize whether your degree field directly supports the role. A biomedical engineering or clinical laboratory science degree is the strongest foundation for a specialty occupation determination.
Research Nova Biomedical's DOL LCA Filings
Before your interview, review the company's Labor Condition Application filings through the DOL's OFLC disclosure database. This tells you prevailing wage levels for biomedical positions at their Massachusetts facilities, so you can assess whether an offer is positioned correctly for sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Biomedical Openings
Search Migrate Mate to filter for biomedical roles at Nova Biomedical that are open to visa sponsorship. It surfaces positions by visa type, so you can prioritize openings that match your current status and authorization timeline.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Accepting an Offer
Ask the hiring manager or recruiter directly whether the offer includes both H-1B cap filing and employer-paid USCIS fees. Nova Biomedical's HR team handles immigration through legal counsel, so confirming the scope in writing before you sign protects you during the filing process.
Document Lab Instrumentation Experience Precisely
Nova Biomedical builds point-of-care diagnostic analyzers, so your I-129 petition will be stronger if your resume and support letter specify experience with blood gas analyzers, electrolyte measurement systems, or similar instrumentation rather than broad clinical lab descriptions.

Find Biomedical at Nova Biomedical JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Nova Biomedical sponsor H-1B visas for Biomedicals?
Yes, Nova Biomedical sponsors H-1B visas for biomedical roles. The company has an established pattern of supporting international employees in technically specialized positions that meet the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, it's worth confirming the sponsorship scope directly with the recruiting team during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Biomedical jobs at Nova Biomedical?
You can browse and apply for biomedical openings at Nova Biomedical through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can identify positions suited to your immigration status. Nova Biomedical also posts openings on its careers page. Tailor your application to highlight hands-on experience with diagnostic instrumentation and any quality system or regulatory exposure relevant to medical devices.
Which visa types does Nova Biomedical commonly use for Biomedical roles?
Nova Biomedical sponsors a range of visa types for biomedical positions, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories), J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs. For candidates seeking permanent residence, the company has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which typically follow a period of employment on a nonimmigrant status.
What qualifications does Nova Biomedical expect for Biomedical roles?
Most biomedical roles at Nova Biomedical require at minimum a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, clinical laboratory science, or a closely related field. Practical experience with diagnostic analyzers, point-of-care testing systems, or medical device quality standards is frequently expected. USCIS requires that the role constitute a specialty occupation, so your degree field should directly correspond to the technical duties of the position you're targeting.
How do I time my application around an H-1B filing at Nova Biomedical?
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, which means you and Nova Biomedical's legal team need to complete all pre-filing steps, including the DOL Labor Condition Application, before the USCIS registration window opens in March. If you're on F-1 OPT, securing an offer several months before your OPT expires gives the employer enough runway to prepare the petition and reduces the risk of a gap in work authorization.
