Align Your Credentials to Power Systems Work
Qualus operates in the power and energy consulting space, so your resume should highlight grid infrastructure, substation design, or transmission experience. A degree in electrical engineering maps cleanly to their Production Engineer requirements and strengthens a specialty occupation argument for H-1B.
Clarify Which Visa Track Qualus Will Use
Qualus sponsors multiple visa categories, so ask the recruiter early whether the role would be filed as H-1B, TN, or supported through CPT. For TN, Production Engineer under an electrical engineering classification qualifies if your degree aligns, and there's no cap or lottery.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Production Engineer Listings
Filter Migrate Mate's job board by Qualus and Production Engineer to surface active openings that are open to visa sponsorship. This saves time compared to parsing general job boards that don't surface sponsorship eligibility clearly.
Understand How Consulting Affects LCA Compliance
Consulting firms like Qualus file Labor Condition Applications with DOL for the worksite location, which can shift between client sites. If you'll work at multiple locations, confirm the LCA covers those sites or that a new LCA will be filed before you start work there.
Prepare for PERM if Pursuing a Green Card Path
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Qualus would need to run a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant petition. Ask during the offer stage whether the company has a policy on sponsoring permanent residency for Production Engineers and what the typical timeline looks like.

Find Production Engineer at Qualus JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Qualus sponsor H-1B visas for Production Engineers?
Yes, Qualus sponsors H-1B visas for Production Engineers. As a consulting firm operating in the power and energy sector, Qualus has filed H-1B petitions for technical roles. Production Engineer positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards given the electrical engineering degree requirements tied to grid and infrastructure work.
How do I apply for Production Engineer jobs at Qualus?
You can browse and apply for Production Engineer openings at Qualus directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles that are open to visa sponsorship. From there, applications typically move through a recruiter screen, a technical interview focused on power systems knowledge, and an offer stage where sponsorship eligibility is confirmed before any petition is filed.
Which visa types does Qualus commonly use for Production Engineers?
Qualus sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for Production Engineers. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role maps to an eligible engineering classification under USMCA. H-1B is the most common path for candidates from other countries already in the U.S.
What qualifications does Qualus expect for Production Engineer roles?
Qualus typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a closely related field, given the company's focus on power delivery and grid consulting. Hands-on experience with transmission systems, substation engineering, or protection and control work is commonly expected. Relevant professional certifications can strengthen your application, particularly for senior-level openings.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take for a Qualus Production Engineer offer?
From offer acceptance to H-1B approval, the process typically runs six to nine months under standard processing, plus the wait for the annual October 1 start date if you're subject to the cap. If Qualus requests premium processing through USCIS, adjudication drops to roughly 15 business days, though the cap timing still applies to new petitions.
