Frame your technical skills for SIG's interview style
SIG's quantitative interviews emphasize probability, game theory, and options pricing over standard LeetCode-style problems. Prepare by working through expected value problems and market-making scenarios so your background lands as directly relevant from the first screen.
Target roles that align with your exact quantitative specialty
SIG distinguishes between quantitative trading, quantitative research, and quantitative development tracks. Applying to the track that matches your background, whether statistics-heavy research or systems-focused development, significantly improves your chances of clearing the technical bar.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your start date
If you need an H-1B, USCIS only opens the cap lottery once per year with an October 1 start date. Coordinate your offer and onboarding timeline around this cycle so both you and SIG have a clear picture of when work can actually begin.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for open quantitative roles at SIG
Not all of SIG's open positions are easy to track across job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for quantitative roles at SIG that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to active listings that match your authorization status.
Confirm your visa type is covered before accepting an offer
SIG sponsors multiple visa categories including H-1B, TN, and J-1, but not every category applies to every role or candidate profile. Before signing, confirm with the recruiting team exactly which petition SIG will file and what documentation you'll need to provide.

Does Susquehanna International Group sponsor H-1B visas for Quantitatives?
Yes, Susquehanna International Group sponsors H-1B visas for quantitative roles. The firm has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for quantitative traders, researchers, and developers. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your start date will align with the October 1 fiscal year, so offer timing and lottery registration deadlines are worth coordinating early in the process.
How do I apply for Quantitative jobs at Susquehanna International Group?
You can browse open quantitative positions directly on SIG's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter for SIG roles that are open to visa sponsorship. SIG's quantitative hiring process typically involves multiple technical rounds focused on probability, trading logic, and programming, so preparation specific to their interview format matters as much as finding the right opening.
Which visa types does Susquehanna International Group commonly use for Quantitative roles?
SIG sponsors several visa categories for quantitative hires, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and career stage.
What qualifications does Susquehanna International Group expect for Quantitative roles?
SIG's quantitative roles typically require strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, or computer science, often at the graduate level for research-focused positions. Practical programming ability in Python, C++, or similar languages is expected. SIG places significant weight on problem-solving aptitude and trading intuition, which they assess through their interview process rather than relying solely on credentials.
How do I navigate the visa filing timeline for a Quantitative role at Susquehanna International Group?
Timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT candidates can start relatively quickly if authorization is in place. H-1B candidates need to go through the annual cap lottery, with petitions filed in March for an October start date. TN status can often be obtained more quickly at a port of entry. SIG's immigration team handles the filing process, but knowing your status and expiration dates before your offer stage prevents last-minute complications.
