Align your degree to SIG's quantitative focus
SIG's intern roles in trading and technology typically require strong quantitative backgrounds. A degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering maps cleanly to their specialty occupation standard, which strengthens any future H-1B petition built on your internship.
Target SIG's Philadelphia and New York offices specifically
SIG's core quantitative trading and technology intern hiring is concentrated at its Bala Cynwyd headquarters and New York office. Applications directed at these locations reach the teams with the strongest international hiring patterns in investment and asset management.
Browse open intern roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter SIG's current intern openings by visa type so you only apply to roles where sponsorship is confirmed. This saves time and ensures your application lands on positions that match your authorization situation.

Find Intern at Susquehanna International Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Susquehanna International Group sponsor H-1B visas for Interns?
SIG sponsors H-1B visas, though sponsorship at the intern stage typically applies to students on F-1 OPT or CPT who later convert to full-time roles. Interns who receive return offers are generally supported through the H-1B cap lottery process, with SIG filing petitions in the March registration window for an October 1 start.
How do I apply for Intern jobs at Susquehanna International Group?
You can find and apply for SIG intern roles directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility. SIG's intern recruiting for quantitative trading and technology roles is competitive and often runs on an early timeline, so applying in the fall for the following summer is standard.
Which visa types are commonly used for Intern roles at Susquehanna International Group?
F-1 CPT and F-1 OPT are the most common authorizations for SIG interns. CPT covers work tied to your academic program during enrollment, while OPT covers post-graduation employment. SIG also has a track record with J-1 intern and trainee programs, and the company sponsors H-1B and TN visas for candidates who transition to full-time positions.
What qualifications does SIG look for in international Intern candidates?
SIG's intern roles in quantitative trading and technology favor candidates with strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering. Programming proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages is expected for most technical roles. Demonstrating quantitative problem-solving ability through coursework, competitions, or personal projects strengthens an application significantly.
How do I manage the visa timeline between my SIG internship and a full-time offer?
If you complete a SIG internship on CPT and receive a return offer, you'll typically bridge to full-time employment using OPT. STEM OPT extensions provide up to 24 months of additional work authorization beyond the standard 12-month period, giving SIG time to sponsor an H-1B petition through the annual lottery without a gap in your employment authorization.
