We are seeking for a Full-time Patient Access Registrar to join our growing hospital. The ideal Patient Access Registrar applicant must be proficient in the registration process to complete the timely and accurate entry of confidential patient information. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, can execute proper judgement in a fast-paced environment, and has prior experience verifying insurance.
Responsibilities
- Registers all patients coming to Thorek's Emergency Department and in the outpatient clinics
- Admits patients through the hospital
- Scans ID’s, insurance cards and other documents as needed
- Uses proper phone etiquette internally and externally to answer departments phones and can route and direct calls to appropriate sources within or outside Thorek Memorial Hospital
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance processes - REQUIRED
- Healthcare registration candidates with a minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical or private office setting required
- Strong customer service and organizational skills required
- Experience on the Meditech Expanse system or similar software preferred
